The name of this church shall be Church Of U.
The purpose of Church Of U is to promote the understanding and realization that humans are divine organic beings, embodying God incarnate. Through this understanding, our mission is to foster deeper connections among individuals and enhance their relationships with the world around them.
Any person who shares the beliefs and mission of Church Of U may become a member by participating in our worship services and activities and expressing their desire to join the church.
Members of Church Of U shall have the right to participate in all activities, events, and decision-making processes within the church. Members are encouraged to contribute their time, talents, and resources to support the mission and growth of the church.
The governance of Church Of U shall be vested in a Board of Directors, consisting of a minimum of three members, who shall be responsible for overseeing the church's operations, finances, and mission. The Board of Directors shall be elected by the church membership at an annual meeting.
The officers of Church Of U shall include a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer. Officers shall be elected by the Board of Directors for a term of one year.
The Board of Directors may establish committees as necessary to carry out the mission and goals of Church Of U. These committees may include, but are not limited to, an outreach committee, an education committee, and a finance committee.
An annual meeting of the church membership shall be held for the purpose of electing the Board of Directors and conducting other necessary church business.
The Board of Directors shall meet at least quarterly to conduct the business of Church Of U. Special meetings of the board may be called as needed by the President or by a majority of the board members.
These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the church membership at any annual or special meeting, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given in writing to all members at least thirty days prior to the meeting.
